Conversas is my feminist drawing practice.

The starting question:
Could you tell me a story about a moment of deep transformation in your body and yourself?

Between 2020 and 2021, I interviewed 12 people who are dear to me (I began by interviewing myself).

After each encounter, I created a drawing.

I do not try to represent these beautiful people and their stories (that would be impossible!). Instead, I draw from what resonates with me as I listen to them.

The order of the drawings follows the order of the encounters, and the titles are words that emerged during the conversations.

I print each drawing in two copies using screen printing: one copy for me, and one for the interviewee.

Conversas was first shown at the “Maison des Cultures de Molenbeek” in December 2021.

From now on, I would like to continue this process, allowing Conversas to become an open and ongoing feminist practice of sharing.

If you are interested in telling your story, feel free to contact me.
